Where, really, is my liver?!

Question: Where, really, is my liver?
Everywhere I've looked has said my liver is on "the right", but to whose "right" is that referring? Is it MY right or is it third person? I have a very dull ache, have had it for about a month, and I'm pretty sure it's due to a cracked rib, but it worries me that it might be due to drinking. The whole "it's on the right" thing doesn't work for me because YOUR right is MY left. I have no idea. Help?

It is YOUR right. Same side as your appendix, actually, unless you're one of those weird mirror image persons with the heart on the right side as opposed to the left side, and so on. In that case, all your internal organs' placement will be mirrored, and you'll find your liver on YOUR left side.

Its triangular in shape and sits predominantly on YOUR right side. Its directly posterior to the anterior ribs, sits under the diaphragm and starts at around rib 6. it descends down to the costal margin and in a healthy adult is only just palpable. The medial lobe does extend past the midline onto the left hand side.

its on your right,as if you're speaking about yourself, it depends on your age,how long you've been drinking, did you have a recent injury? Or it could be probably from ingestion in your colon.

Your right

it is kind of triangular shaped big thick glandular organ. it is up under the ribcage. Right under your breasts. (if you are a man sorry (even you have breasts they are just super tiny))

it is on the right side of YOUR body. You can feel it just below the rib cage
