Question: Benefits of pranayama?

Which is correct and beneficial from the following ways while doing ANULOM VILOM pranayam?

Doing anulom vilom pranayam with breath retention(kumbhaka) for 10 seconds in between Inhaling and exhaling. OR

Doing anulom vilom pranayam without any breath retention.

Which is correct and more beneficial. If the method with breath retention is correct and best, how many seconds i need to hold for good benefit?

Actually i want to cure my Anxiety and shivering(trembling) hands while holding glass of water or mobile phone, remote control, etc.

Breathe in and out with no breath retention, after doing it a while, if it feels comfortable, blow out all your breath, and then rest without breathing at all, as long as it feels comfortable, then go back to the regular breathing in and out, until you feel you don't need breath anymore, breath all the air out, and stare at your third eye drawing the life energy into your body. Trembling hands can be a lack of vitamins, b vitamins, especially vitamin B-l. It is washed out of your body every three hours so try taking it 3 x a day for a few days, and see if it helps, that way you won't imbalance your b vitamins like if you do it for a long time, also eating plain yogurt helps your body make its own b vitamins, also you may be behind on your magnesium, it works well with B-6, so if the B-l doesn't help try a B-6 and magnesium supplement, also zink works with B-6 so you might take zink with the magnesium and b-6! I think it is B-1 that also gives you sensitivity to noise, so if you hear a noise and you jump, you pro behind on B-1, these vitamins also absorb through your skin, so you can put them in bath water if you don't like swallowing pills, or in a foot bath...Anxiety can also be from lack of magnesium, and if you drink milk you pro get enough calcium, but if magnesium alone doesn't work, try taking it with calcium, at night, that is when your body uses it the most! Both calcium and magnesium have the same deficiency symptoms.
