if you smoke ANYTHING in your room, it will stay for DAYS! even your wardrobe.
ppl will smell it, that sh*t seeps through the door (that space at the bottom).
and weed has a MUCH stronger smell that cigarettes.
so, if youre gonna do it in your room, try sitting RIGHT next (or in front of) the window wide open.
make sure when you blow out smoke, thats its NOT coming back in!
ive encountered this a lot of times, you have to work on your technique of holding the joint (or pipe/blunt) and the direction of the smoke.
its a lot of work, which i'm sure you dont want to do, youre just trying to relax and get a good high, and it'll f*ck your high up. try just going out your bedroom window, smoking, then coming back in (:

i smoke.
and i live with a mother thats VERY conservative.

im not a stoner by any means. ive never even smokes a cigarette. non the less weed. but my brother does and he did it once in his room when i was a kid and i could smell if for days.

yup, if there is a non smoker in the house, they will smell it for a long time. Weed smoke is very pungent.

i always know when my kids are trying to hide it. we are not as stupid as you think kids

That really just depends on how pungent your mj is some you could smell for days some will be gone in a hour or so. It also depends on how much you smoke.

I smoke weed in my truck and house everyday, it smelt like skunk one day for 2 hours in my truck but that stuff was amazing. I wouldn't worry.

wow, it will def be gone in 3-4 hours. it doesn't linger as long as cigarette smoke either :)
