You should only take it every 4 hours, which would be 4 doses a day.
You can however take ibuprofen, 2 hours after taking paracetamol. This should stem the pain and this is ok.

they dont just tell you to take 4 for the sake of it. there is a reason.
and if you do take more than 4 go to the doctors imediatly
that would be 4000mg per day - sounds about right. you can use hot salt water, it can take the pain away too, what bout Ibuprofen too? take down the swelling in your gums. you can take them with paracetamol
