Both conventional medicine and alternative medicine have pluses and minuses.

Alternative medicine is mostly free of side effects but it is often much slower and much less effective than conventional medicine.

The main problem with conventional medicine is that often you get bad side effects.

Your reference to "surgery butcher" is presumably a reference to surgery that could have been avoided with alternative medicine. Surgery can make you much worse than before. Unfortunately, sometimes surgery is the only option left. It should only be resorted to as a last resort. A naturopath acquaintance of mine very recently had some surgery to remove a tumor behind the eye. He is very strongly prejudiced against surgery but he had no other option than surgery and now he is fine.

No idea what a "surgery butcher" is though. Modern medicine has nothing to do with a surgery butcher. You're thinking of an abattoir which, while the butchers are skillful are generally not surgeons. There is a thought that Jack the Ripper might have been one or the other though.

Many modern drugs are dangerous and need to be controlled, that is done through regulation of the health systems in each country.

Slam it all you like, western medicine also gave you the only consistently accurate tools for diagnosis......

People who know better use other forms of medicine like Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, TCM/Acupuncture.... Thankfully there are lots of modalities you can choose from if you want to avoid toxic drugs and surgery, which should be the LAST resort, not the first.
Conventional medicine is being run by the drug companies, but happily medical schools/students are speaking out and demanding that the undue influence of the pharma. companies be severely curtailed. There are NO guarantees that drugs and surgery will accomplish their intended purpose and are far from achieving the goals they should be aiming for -- the wellbeing of patients, and not the benefit of the medical industry.
Why would anyone on an alternative health forum want to so emotionally defend drugs and surgery, and insult the person who asked the question? Shills for the medical industry, that's who.
