Are coffee and tea good for a cold?!

Question: Are coffee and tea good for a cold?
I have a pretty bad cold, and a low-grade fever. My dad said that caffeine was good for a cold... So, I was wondering if he was right? We have a bunch of tea and coffee in the house, so yeah. Thanks. :(

No. The caffeine in the tea and coffee might make you "feel" a bit better if you're feeling lethargic, but it has no specific benefits other than that.

The cold virus is self limiting, it will resolve in spite of anything you do.

I would stick with tea (ginger tea if you have any)

Tea is soothing and is a good source for keeping you well hydrated.
Liqiuds help keep the mucous thin.

And you need liquids if you have a fever.
Hope you feel better.

Tea is good for a cold but i don't think coffee..tea also help the throat relax if you have a bad cough

coffee NO.....tea good....
