There are many things that can cause blood pressure to be bad. The primary problem is dehydration. If she is not drinking enough water and getting good electrolytes, she will have this problem. Eating enough salt is important as well. There is a lot of misinformation regarding salt as causing high blood pressure, but that is just NOT true. When you get dehydrated, the salt content of the blood goes up because the water is being extracted by the organs and the blood vessels shrink as a result, causing the blood pressure to go up and leaving more salt in the blood.

The average person needs water at the following rate:

Take your total body weight and divide by 2. That number is the amount of water in ounces that you need to drink each and everyday. Along with that, you should consume 1/4 teaspoon of "air dried sea salt" in conjunction with each quart of water you drink. This puts the electrolytes in your body that will give you proper hydration. The typical white table salt you buy in stores like the Morton Salt, for instance, is terrible for you and has loads of chemicals added. Avoid that junk. If you drink ANY diuretic drinks like, sodas, coffee, tea, alcohol, commercially prepared fruit drinks, energy drinks, etc., these all dehydrate you and you will need to add more water to the total to compensate for the water loss due to these diuretic drinks. Take the total ounces of the diuretic drinks and multiply by 1.5 and add that total to the original total to come up with the proper amount of water you need to drink each day. If you are eating processed foods, these are very dehydrating as well because they take the water out of this food and when you eat it, it sucks the water out of you.

If after following the water suggestion doesn't help, then she needs to look at what she is eating. Aloe is a good nutrient, but don't look to it as solving a blood pressure problem.

Good luck to you

A great way to lower blood pressure is with apple cider vinegar. You will want to purchase the vinegar from your local health food store (generally you can't find the good stuff at supermarkets). I would personally recommend the Bragg brand. Whatever the brand you choose, it needs to be organic, raw and unpasteurized. This is very important for you to reap the benefits of this protocol.

I would suggest that your Mom take 1-3 Tablespoons daily. Find what works best for her. Depending on how high her BP is, she may need the higher dose. It's best to take the vinegar 2-3 times daily instead of all at once. You can simply mix the vinegar with some warm water (not hot) and some honey (while you're at the health food store, look for some raw honey!). If honey is a problem, purchase stevia instead.

Vinegar is an awesome remedy for lowering Blood Pressure. It will do wonders for her overall health as well! If you cannot find the vinegar locally, you can purchase it online.

EDIT: Hey onlymatch4u! Thanks for your comments. It's good to have some like-minded company!

Aloe vera won't help your mom. She needs real medicine, prescribed by a doctor.
