Is it healthy to soak feet in cold water?!

Question: Is it healthy to soak feet in cold water?
I just dipped my feet knee high in really cold water for about 20 minutes and I'm feeling really energized and great. I tried searching for an answer as to why do i feel so great after doing this and see if this is healthy. Does anyone know if it's healthy to do so? and if it is healthy, what are the benefits of doing so (aside from feeling waaaay better and alert?) seriously, i feel better than when i have caffeine rush.

Wayne Dyer, in talking about our comfort zones, said this one spa had all these jacuzzi's some were warm, others hot, then hotter, and in the other direction, cool, cold and then colder....almost everyone used the warm one or the little bit hot one, he talked everyone into using them all one day, and it was great...it would be good to start with cool water, and then slowly make it colder, so as not to shock your body, you are only supposed to have slow termperature changes, people in florida, the elderly it was so cold in the grocery stores, come in from 110+ in the sun, to 45 degrees in the stores, were dying of temperature shock by the time they hit the vegetable isle...of course, if you have frostbite, you must start with cool water, and very slowly thaw your feet, but otherwise, I think it sounds like a good idea, and I would like to try it also, to make it even better, crush up a vitamin B complex and put it in the water, the B vitamins will absorb through your skin, just what your body needs, and give you an extra rush. I took cold showers for so long I can't hardly stand a hot one now, hot water opens your pores and lets all that chlorine and chemicals in the water absorb into your body including floride...also if you want soft skin, don't use soap very much, keep the natural oils on your skin, especially in the summer, when they are needed to absorb Vitamin D from the sun, it will keep your skin from aging...I know you didn't ask for this info, but I put it in anyway...lol peace to you and yours Kathy
