The silver surfer, and for that matter the black surfer on amazon, are one of the only knockoff vaporizers that's any good. That and the DaBuddah are copies of the Original VaporBrothers Vaporizer. All the other knockoffs are crap. Don't get suckered into one of the plastic pieces of crap, or any of the other "digital" knockoffs. They all suck bad. Anything on ebay won't be what it's advertised as, they advertise the good ones, and then when they tell you they're out of them, they try to sell you one of the cheap chinese plastic pieces of crap. There's a few cheap plywood ones that are bad too. Most online resellers only sell the crappy knockoff ones.
If you buy direct or from a distributor recommended on the manufacturer website; you'll have a better time getting repairs, and most vaporizers will need a repair in a few years. It's the way small electric heaters are. Fortunately the few good companies do repairs. The crappy ones don't.
The Original is only sold at one online retailer, vaporwarehouse.com. The Surfer is sold a few places as is the DaBuddah, check with their website.
