I could use some words of encouragement and advice..Drugs?!

Question: I could use some words of encouragement and advice..Drugs?
My dads a meth addict and problems at home with abuse and lonleyness have me feeling like him heading the same way.
I smoke weed, and now I have recently picked up pain killers and have been thinking about trying other drugs, Im a girl, 16 yrs old.
I know its very bad but Im not sure why Im doing this? or how to stop myself.
I dont have any family that even talks to me anymore nor do I have a school guidance counselor whom cares. My friends wouldent care Ive tried.
So I have come here. I need some advice, anything I dont want to end up like him.
Today at school I went messed up on pills. I feel guilty, I dont even like the feeling pills give me they make me sick but yet I want more???
Is that weird?
Btw the pills I was on was Hydrocodone and I have access 24/7 theirs bottles all over the house.

I know exactly how you feel. I used to feel transparent at home. Dad was a drunk, it was best to stay out of his way, and Mom was busy hiding.

Drugs ain't gonna fill that void. That is why you feel empty, and why you feel empty when you take them too.

Don't do something that doesn't make sense, "just because".
Quit digging the hole you are in, and wait. Don't do nothing.
I assure you, eventually things will get better.
Get some friends on here. Go hang out in some department you like, like art, and then when people give you BA, write them a little thank you, and tell them you like the question, and so forth. Polls and surveys is a fun department. Try that one.

My life sucks right now. I'm not ashamed to say some of the only people I "talk" to are on here. That's ok. It won't always be that way, but at this time in my life, a little distance between me and the world is a good idea. I call it healing.

I wrote more than I meant to, but I guess the only real thing of substance I can say is whatever you do, stay away from those things and you have a chance, things will eventually get better.

Stop the painkillers, you will eventually become addicted and withdrawel when you run out or whatever. Cut down on the weed, make it a weekend thing and relax. Meditate (weed helps with this)
You can chose your fate.
Are you gonna end up fighting addiction or are you going to chose to live happily and peacefully?
Goodluck?from the heart of mine.

go to a pay Telephone and call the cops anomalously

I don't know why someone would tell you to call the cops. The last thing you need to do is involve cops in your life - if you think you have issues now - geesh, cops will have you and your dad so screwed over for many years to come and in and out of jail and treatment centers and when it's all over nothing will be any better - if anything worse. Don't get hooked on the pain killers. They just cause new proplems with their expense and worse legal issues than weed. You need to be strong and try to keep yourself on the straight and even path. You've seen what the bad stuff can do. You don't want that. Eventually, you'll be getting married and having your own family and you can learn from this experience how to be a better parent and be there for your kids so they don't ever have to feel this way. Go watch a sitcom or call a fun friend. Lighten up. Don't expect anything from guidance counselors - they only know text book stuff - start studying and thinking about college - there are plenty of ways to get there even if you think money will be a problem. A guidance counselor might be able to help you with the grants and paperwork stuff to have most of the tuition paid - that's the kind of stuff they know best. Believe me, every kid get this feeling sooner or later. They might not show it, but they do. Spring is coming. That usually makes people start to feel better - these cold days really screw with peoples minds. It's like we get stir crazy and bored from staying in more than we want. Watch some youtube or do something to see someone else doing something stupid or going thru crap. Believe me, if you hang in there, it will get better. Any junk food in the house? Can't hurt....

It's not weird, it's and addiction. You need to slowly get off of the pills and the weed. Talk to someone who has been there even if it's through email or on here. Not all counselors learn what they know from a text book. I learned it all first hand. While it was wrong and very bad for me, I have used it to help others. As for the cops, that is something you and you alone would have to decide. Would it be bad for your Dad? Could be. But is being addicted to meth a good thing? If you are suffering from abuse at home then it could be the best thing for you. Meditation is good advice but you don't need weed for this. If you do it right it works great all by itself. Self-hypnosis is another great way to help yourself. What ever you do, get off of the drugs ASAP. You have no idea how bad they will mess you up as you get older. Some people will go to Church or learn to pray. That's good advice also but if you go to Church, be careful of your choice. While there are some good ones out there, there are also many who will not help you except to try and take your money. Praying is always good and can become a form of meditation. It all depends on what you believe in. Please start by believing in yourself. You can beat this and have a great life. You just have to get started and don't let anything get in your way. Life is what you make it. While others can get in the way or influence you, it all comes down to you. Make your life great. If your friends don't care, then they are not really your friends. A friend is someone who will care, be honest, and always try to help. Hope this gives you something to go by. If you need to talk, email me at Pudcc@yahoo.com
