I just got my cartilage pierced and my ear is swollen?!


Question: I just got my cartilage pierced and my ear is swollen?
I got my cartilage pierced about 5 days ago and when I woke up this morning my whole ear was swollen. I got it done with a needle at a tattoo shop and ive been cleaning it with the sea salt solution every day. It doesn't really hurt but my ear is really swollen and it hasn't gone down at all. Whats wrong?

It is most likely swollen because you slep on it . I had the same thing try using another type of solution to clean your ear but stay away from hydrogen peroxide that will dry it out. It's also most likely that you got a small infection so try to keep hair off of it as well as water in showers off of it as much as possible.
