Been sick for a month, taken antibiotics yet still very sick! Help!?!

Question: Been sick for a month, taken antibiotics yet still very sick! Help!?
As stated from the title, I have been sick for 3-4 weeks. It started as a simple sore throat and now I'm waking up in the morning with stuffy nose, a runny nose / constant sneezing throughout the day, and congestion at night with on and off coughing.

I went to the doctors about a week ago and today is my final day for taking my antibiotics which were prescribed to me since the doctor claims I have an ear infection. I do not feel that I am getting better at all one bit. He did not prescribe to me any other medication, and I don't know what to do. I have been taking Equate? severe cough and cold medicine from off the counter for about 2 weeks ever since it started, and stopped after I realized it wasn't really working. I've also been drinking ThermaFlu powder drink medicine for Day and Night, which although provided a little relief, still did not solve the problem entirely.

I also have to add that before I was sick, I was constantly taking Zyrtec off the counter about every other day due to a Chronic Hives condition. What's strange is that ever since I had my "cold" or "ear infection", I have not been getting any Hives breakouts. I usually get raised red itchy bumps all over my body about everyday (without medicine), and every other day (with medicine). I'm starting to have thoughts that my sickness is actually allergies, which I have never experienced before with the current symptoms. I haven't taken the Zyrtec that I use for hives in over 3 weeks and I'm not sure whether or not there is a need to take it.

If anyone has any suggestions or advice for me, please post. I am really hoping forward to ending this terrible "cold" and gaining back some weight and good health. Thank you :)

P.S. : I have also experienced several symptoms during my cold which I have not experienced in the past before. These include :

- Ear feeling stuffy after blowing nose. One of my ears just randomly feels very stuffed, and at times I am unable to hear well.
- Constant , Constant feelings of sneezing. I always have the feeling that I need to sneeze, but am almost never able to unless I stare at a bright light. I'm not sure if this is because of the congestion in my nose, or the mucus inside my nose triggering a sneeze nerve, etc..

Your problem is that you are taking medicine with fever reducers (Equate and ThermaFlu)

If your body has a fever, it is good in the sense that the fever will kill the bacterial organisms / virus. When you take fever reducers, this prevents this from happening. Fever reducers may be necessary for when a fever is too high, or for when you have to go to work, but you need to let your fever run its course.

you have weak adrenal glands from nerve interference. this is the cause of your weak immunity, allergies, photophobia, and hives. medicine fails because it doesn't correct the cause. see an hio method upper cervical specific chiropractor.

You really need to see an allergist. The hives aren't normal, nor are your symptoms. You can try continuing the Zyrtec, but you need an allergy specialist.

Had allergies for years; I'm a pharmacologist

Bad colds take a while to get over.If you have taken the antibiotics then perhaps you need some more .All You can do is rest and drink plenty of fluid.

It's possible that your hives could be from intestinal parasites. That's what it was for me. The parasite's waste builds up in your body and eventually causes constant allergic reactions and rashes.

I don't know how it would be mitigated by the ear/throat symptoms, but it's possible it's all connected.

When I got rid of my parasites, everything got better -- things I didn't even know were related went away. I made a website about how I treated myself using natural treatments:
