Roccutane and alcohol?!

Question: Roccutane and alcohol?
if you have been on Roccutane please answer this question.

So i don't have severe acne but i have been prescribed Roccutane by my doctor. Im on a really low dose i only take 2 20mg tablets a week.
I binge drink probably once a week.
So my question is, because i know both the alcohol and Roccutane aren't good for my liver, will the dose im taking and the binge drinking eff my liver up bad?
it would be good to have some real life stories not just information off the net.
thanks.

First point is: Roaccutane is an incredibly strong drug that once absorbed by the blood stream will penetrate all your tissue, even bone, but including the sebaceous glands where spots are developed. Therefore you should only be on it if you cannot stand the condition of you skin just now. Remember: acne means more oily skin which means looking younger for longer!

Second point is: 70mg daily is the full and maximum dose you would give to a large adult. Therefore your dose is not really very low at all. You are only 10mg short of a grown mans dose.

Third point is: Alcohol and this drug are not a good combination and may lead to a permanent cell damage, you may find other answers that please you more and from people who say they have binge drank a couple of days a week and been totally fine, however they will be unlikely to have experienced the effects of the damage they have caused to their bodies.

ps. your hair will be fine, but no sunbeds.

A friend of mine did fine taking roaccataine with an occasional drink.

But whatever you do, don't get pregnant.
