nyquil or any dairy product
BUT... technically you are not supposed to eat about 3 hours before bed. your body gets less quality sleep.
go to a health/drug store and get some lavender spray for your pillow. that herb is very calming/relaxing. you have to get the real stuff tho, not just scented.

Sleep disorders are common and often result from inadequate treatment of underlying medical conditions or psychiatric illness. True primary insomnia is rare. Nonpharmacologic therapies that are useful for sleep problems include proper diet and exercise, avoiding stimulants before retiring, ensuring a comfortable sleeping environment, and retiring at a regular time each night. In some cases, however, the patient will need and should be given a sedative-hypnotic for a limited period. It should be noted that the abrupt discontinuance of many drugs in this class can lead to rebound insomnia.

Having a warm glass of milk 1-2 hours before sleep may help. Also you can put an apple by your bed or simply eat an apple before sleep (1-2 hours). Studies have shown that apples help sleep, whether or not it works I don't know though...
I find Camomile tea often helps. Hot milk is also considered good. It appears that heating the milk chemically changes it and you end up with l-tryptophan which helps you sleep.
melatonin - available at health food stores.
