More weight-loss on Adderall IR or Adderall XR?!

Question: More weight-loss on Adderall IR or Adderall XR?
My psychiatrist prescribed me Concerta after I was diagnosed with ADHD two months ago. It was the worst experience. I felt awful--actually, I felt nothing; more like a zombie. I didn't want to do anything, basically. I had felt more concentration and stability off the meds than on. So, I told him I wasn't going to continue to use it and, if it was available for me, that I wished to switch to a different ADHD medication. He suggested Adderall as an option. I told him my two cousins who also have ADHD take it and that they've seen marvelous results. He had me get an EKG test done, then, to make sure amphetamines wouldn't cause any harm to me, and I was cleared for it.
Now, after researching Adderall, I found out about the weight loss that occurs when you're on it. There's the extended release and the immediate release; my question is which type causes more weight loss? Or less, technically. I don't want to lose weight, I feel that I'm at a healthy number, but I need the medication. Of course, his decision is what counts, but I want to tell him which I would prefer even so.
If anybody knows or has experienced the medication, please let me know. That'd be so helpful.

Thanks!

Adderall is amphetamines, straight up. It's a street drug in pill form. It's bad news bears, in short.

The XR is worse as far as appetite suppressant, because it lasts longer. If you only take one non-XR in a day and you eat right before, your appetite will return when the pill wears off, after 4-6 hours.

There are a LOT of more holistic ways to deal with ADD. ADD didn't even exist until a couple decades ago, and largely comes from overstimulation and inactivity. Please consider trying herbal remedies (gingko, e.g.), meditation, yoga, exercise, and a major decrease in anything like tv, video games, and multi tasking.

6 tips for you.

Good Luck and Take care :-)

I took Adderall for years and it ended up really hurting me beyond loosing weight. They usually don't tell you all the side effects because they are sold on the product and don't research it independent of what the drug company tells them. You may not listen to me...originally I wouldn't have, but it is better to treat ADHD with diet and vitamins. It is hard, but the habits you learn affect you the rest of your life....Do you really want to take meth forever, or do you want to learn how to address the problem.
