Vitamin with EVERYTHING?!

Question: Vitamin with EVERYTHING?
I'm on a diet, so I need a replacement for all the vitamins we need daily.
I'm willing to just take that one supplement and nothing else...

There is no such vitamin with EVERYTHING you need. Most will have the basic micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, and such), but none will have all of the macronutrients you need (fiber, protein, carbs, fat, etc)... there's just not enough space in a pill (or several pills) to fit it all.

With that being said, if you only took one supplement, you will stop losing weight after a while because your body goes into starvation mode with similar starvation diets... what some people call "plateaus". You need to eat enough calories to keep your basic bodily functions going (typically at least 1200 calories, but some need more and some need less) or you'll stop losing weight so your body doesn't shut down from lack of energy (a method of self-preservation).

If you are having trouble with your diet, you can consult a nutritionist or dietitian to work out a meal plan and exercise regimen. If that's not an option, then you can try on your own... just eat healthy and have some exercise at least 3 times a week. In general, exercise is going to be required for any solid, long-term weight loss and it's also a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. Unfortunately there's no magic pill that will make you lose weight while you sit on the couch. HOWEVER, exercise doesn't have to be anything proper or official, you don't need to go to a gym, wear certain clothes, and you don't have to be around people who are in better shape. Exercise can be done while you're at work, watching TV, and even just doing everyday tasks... take the stairs instead of the elevator, park at the far end of the parking lot, walk around the building at work during breaks (especially if you sit all day), work various muscles during the commercials when you watch TV (crunch your abs, stand up repeatedly, lift pop bottles or some sort of weight, etc), run around with the kids for 5 minutes at home (if applicable), etc, etc. It doesn't have to be "typical exercise".

After all, as long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that. Good luck and I hope I helped!

Forget it. Eat properly, plenty of fruit and veg, 5-a-day like the doctors say. You don't and shouldn't need to take supplements unless you're ill.

Vitamins are synthetic, which is bad for you. Just eat clean, un-processed, organic foods and you'll be set.
