Question: Need helpful ways to lower high Blood Pressure?
My friend, who has already been to a doctor and is taking her meds, is currently so far off the charts with her blood pressure that she's at risk of heart attack. Any advise on dieting/stress relief/exercise will help. Thanks.

A low salt diet combined with exercise certainly helps and a lot of other natural remedies such as lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, garlic and Coenzyme Q10 all help a bit but often you still need prescription medication as well.

The DASH diet is also supposed to help.

High blood pressure can often be caused by some sort of stress...

The best natural stress-reliever I've found is "Extreme Relaxation" by Revive Audio -- my wife also listens to it and says that the stress and "negative noise" in her head disappears in a few minutes ... and it seems to have an accumulative effect where the constant worries she once had have almost completely disappeared now after listening to it (with headphones on to block out distractions) -- daily at first, then just whenever she felt stressed/worried.... Well, aside from diet (including salt restrictions) and exercise (walking or light jogging is usually good to start with), there are some natural products that are very beneficial for Blood Pressure.

Lower high blood pressure by taking at least 1000 mg's of vitamin D a day and also vitamin C. Also avoid all starches and sugars. They are what keep the weight up. Fat does not make you fat. Sugar makes you fat and starches turn to sugar so that is double indemnity. Walking at least one hour a day also will help and have her get Mega Red for her heart to help the situation. It can also help with the blood pressure because it is the oil for the heart and better than normal fish oil.
