Does niacin help hair growth?!

Question: Does niacin help hair growth?
I am 15 years old and considered taking it, if so.. how much should I take? is it healthy? any info is great. thanks.

Answers:

Niacin is a B vitamin and some people say it helps with hair growth but I haven't seen any strong research on it. I would take a super good vitamin like Source of Life Nature's Plus, it has a ton of good stuff, including the B vitamins (niacin is B3). This way you are getting all of the vitamins (like vit A and C etc) that improve not only hair growth, but shininess and strength too. I had a lot of hair breakage (I wear my hair up all the time and color it) but it has really improved since I started taking these vitamins. I also use product called bioluster (http://news.biolustre.com/) so maybe it's the combination but either way I'm much happier with my hair now.

personal experience

no.

If you're going bald at 15 you should be seeing a doctor or trichologist
