I did a search for it on Yahoo and found the main hit at http://www.hendricksonmethod.com/about.p…
I tried to look at the page, but the firewall at work blocked it because "This [firewall] category is filtered: Phishing and Other Frauds."
You may want to do a search for it online for yourself, but it sounds fishy based on that alone. The Yahoo preview for it says, "Hendrickson Method? offers training in an advanced system of orthopedic massage and manual therapy that combines mobilization, neuromuscular re-education, and Eastern ..." for what that's worth. It sounds like some massage or orthopedic therapy, but I would discuss the options with your doctor if they are recommending it. Good luck and I hope I helped!

[edit]: I always love to see when someone uses my answer... but Mezza just went to the site I listed above and plagiarized from one of their student testimonials. I'm willing to bet good money he's never heard of the method before you asked. Sigh...

A quick search on Yahoo and personal research

The Hendrickson Method? is an advanced form of bodywork designed to treat all sorts of orthopaedic conditions including "neck pains". There are all sorts of reasons to have neck pain and the Hendrickson method? practitioner is trained to understand the different causes such as tight muscles, degeneration of the joints, sprains and strains, herniation, nerve impingements and fixations of the facets. Each type of injury or dysfunctional pattern requires a specific treatment protocol to address the needs of the tissues involved so that it may effectively be treated.
The Hendrickson Method? Practitioner is able to treat the sources or mechanisms of the pain using the signature soft tissue mobilisation strokes called Wave Mobilisation? to soften and lengthen the soft tissues as well as correcting any torsions in the tissues that might contribute to pain and dysfunction. Though the practitioner may work deep into the tissue it is deeply relaxing and nurturing to receive. Another aspect of Hendrickson Method? massage is its use of resistive techniques called Muscle Energy Technique, these are used to lengthen and soften the tissues. This can also be used to normalise the nerve impulses from the brain into the muscles for optimal function of the muscles. Lastly Hendrickson Method? incorporates joint mobilisation which profoundly affects the whole body and nervous system as well as the joints being mobilised.Mobilising the joints provides the much needed nutrition to the joints surfaces to aid in regeneration of cartilage surfaces.
To recap: The Hendrickson Method is a system of massage with 3 key features that directly addresses the mechanisms of soft tissue injury, repair and dysfunctions. It is very relaxing and clinically very effective at treating most orthopaedic conditions.

I have found it excellent for neck pains. As a bassist my neck and shoulders have always suffered but now for the first time I am pain free after a gig. And six months later I am still pain free. AT last a treatment which really works .
