I have Bacterial Vaginosis?!

Question: I have Bacterial Vaginosis?
I went to a doctor and I was diagnosed with this and he prescribed me some antibiotics that I have to take for 7 days..my question is do anyone know if Monistat 3 also be used to help cure the itch that comes with it? Or should I just keep suffering through the itch and just use the antibiotics by itself? The itching is starting to become unbearable especially in the morning.

This would probably get better answers (and more personal experiences) in the Women's Health section than Alternative Medicine so you may want to ask this question there as well.
You can certainly take the Monistat as long as your doctor says it's okay and that does have some ingredients that help with the itching (my wife used it before). You also don't want to stop taking the antibiotic or it'll be much worse in the long-run.

As a side note, you'll also want to take a good Probiotic to help replenish the good bacteria after the antibiotic is done (to help prevent recurring bacterial issues and antibiotic-induced diarrhea among other things). Cranberry is actually more for UTIs, not yeast-based issues... but it does help to prevent UTIs. Good luck and I hope I helped!

Monsitat treats yeast, not bacteria. It probably would not help with the itch. It also contains a lot of alcohol, which you may find further irritates the already infected/inflamed tissues. The antibiotic should start to do its job within just a day or two, so you won't have to spend another week itching. Good luck!

try some cranberry juice.
