The taste is very bitter, it may cause nausea, giddiness and or hallucination.
It may also cause addiction, not advisable to take regularly.

I didn't chew any salvia i smoked an extract 19x the potency of leaf and it has lots of salvinorin crystals in it making it a very potent hallucinogen. I have a one hit pipe with a really deep bowl and i had it filled and ended up smoking it all in one hit. Sounds starting mixing with my visual perception i could see fractured sound waves or something colorful and connected with beams, the music was alive and consuming everything. i had to close my eyes but i had the feeling of oneness with everything around me. i felt like i was the music playing. i didn't feel normal at all. even though i couldn't move at all i felt like i was everywhere, everything and expanding.
it's good to be back to reality.

Personally, i chewed a quid of salvia and i didn't experience strong effects. the reason may be because i was swallowing alot of the juices even though you're supposed to hold it in your mouth so it can touch the bottom area of your tongue.

i experienced a very slight change in perception and when i closed my eyes, i saw a few shapes moving around. salvia CANNOT cause addiction.
