When you started smoking, you should have realized that it was gonna be great and you would need will power to quit if you ever needed to quit. Stop looking for easy ways, just have will power and stay away. Otherwise, you have an unhealthy dependency and were never fit to be smoking.
I have smoked Marijuana for Medicinal Purposes for 35 years now, if it were not for having marijuana at my disposal, I would have had to quit the workforce much earlier, I am now unable to work and on Social Security Disability. My doctors know I use it, they encourage it. Marijuana has over 100 mortician uses. I have a Card which say I can use it legally for Medical Reasons.
Marijuana is not addictive like tobacco, so if you smoke for recreational pleasure why do you want to stop?
I've had to quit before too. I just laid it down. You can just not do it. It's not really physically addictive. I know it will be hard when your friends do it in front of you,but you can do it. Have willpower, rbe strong! It's just like when your pregnant and you can't do anything "fun."
Have you tried NLP?

figure out why you started smoking and why you continue to do it(what triggers the urges; i.e. stress) and get your family/friends to help you
Buy a Bible, let Jesus be your motivation:)
You could stop buying bags and only smoke on occasion when someone offers. When you get the craving to smoke you could go buy a bottle of wine or a snack to keep your mind off it. Other things that may or may not help you quit: Church, Exercising, Reading, Pick up a new Hobby and try to be around non smokers more often such as family or other friends.
It will get easier as time goes by. Eventually you may try it again after a few months and realize you don't really miss it that much. Just remember its all in your head and if you are truly set on quitting then be strong and stick to it. Good luck!
Smoked for many years.
There is not a natural remedy or a sumpliment to quitting smoking. A mild nostalgia for it is developed making you really wanting to smoke but there is no way that any person can tell you to quit smoking. they dont have substitutes for you, its literally all will power. Without trying to sound cliche or cheesy its all will power. If you really see a need to quit then you will. Its as simple as that. Its not worth losing close friends over, stop hanging out with the pot smokers for a bit untill you dont feel the want for it anymore. I smoked 8-9 times a day for a 2 years my last year in high school and after. I got tired of it and quit cold turkey and havent smoked since about 10 months ago. first week or 2 are mildly hard but not too hard because there is no real proof that marijuana causes addiction.
