A cold is a virus, there is no cure even if you go to the doctor. Take some Nyquil at night so you can sleep well and that is when your body best repairs itself. Take a really good multivitamin and extra vitamin C. Have some chicken noodle soup, if you don't want to eat, at least drink chicken broth. For your throat, hot liquids such as tea with some honey work great. Take some aspirin or Dayquil in the morning. Also, take a hot steamy shower or bath. Really what you need is rest so stay home tomorrow if you can, that way you also aren't passing it on to others. After you blow your nose wash your hands or at least use some anti-bacterial hand sanitizer.

There is no cure for the common cold. Vitamins do nothing. The best you can do is manage the symptoms and over the counter cold and flu medicine from a pharmacy are the most effective. Get plenty of rest and keep your fluids up.
