scared to take xanax 25mgs prescribed a week or so ago for anxiety.?!

Question: Scared to take xanax 25mgs prescribed a week or so ago for anxiety.?
I was prescribed xanax 25mgs for mild anxiety and panic. I have not taken one yet due to the sideeffects listed, bad stories from others, and possibly feeling all doped and sedated. I was directed to take it on an as needed basis and not everyday. I wanna try it out and see what it does for my anxiety but Im scared. Any advice would be fantastic!!! Im tired of dealing with anxiety, its depressing me and im living in fear anticipating the next panic attack constantly. Advice plz Thx!!

Don't take it, try pot for anxiety, works way better (for me anyway) It's not for everyone, but it's better then a pharmaceutical drug that got fast tracked through the FDA due to a large donation from the company that manufactures the drug.

No one needs to take drugs for anxiety or depression, but it's the best that conventional medicine can come up with.
Check out EFT at Mercola.com and give it a try instead. If that doesn't work, find a professional Homeopath. It's way better than taking drugs for the rest of your life.
Clinical evaluations of Xanax and other drugs show that they don't work as advertised and the "side" effects are worse than the supposed benefits.

I don't blame you--I was Rx'd the same thing for a similar condition (a phobia), and I ended up giving the sample caps to a friend who had no qualms about Xanax and had had an Rx for it in the past. Anxiety sucks, whether it's of the focused variety (phobias) or more generalized PAs like yours. Chemical treatment is out there, but you're not going to cure something that emanates from within, from your brain's emotional center and pathways.

Debbie, I can point you to a better, effective solution, but not on this open forum. Email me at myaltego@yahoo.com (use the subject line appropriately), and I'll gladly give you the information that took my 26yo phobia (1984-2010) to the mat and actually CURED me of the d*mn thing! And yes, I know leaving my email address here is just asking for harassment, but I think ridding you of a life-ruining condition concerns me more than my having to temporarily deal with some extra spam.
