Depends on the source of your indigestion; if this is something I get an hour or so after eating or if it something that has lingered for a day or more, I take 500mg triphala before each meal. If it's right after I eat, I take 1 teaspoon extra coconut oil for a week to kill bacteria (I mix it in oatmeal as it may cause a little nausea for the first couple days). I also drink peppermint tea for eat soemthing with peppermit oil as it is very soothing to my stomach. If this is a constant pain you should really have that checked out. Hope this helps.
No I have never heard or noticed that. As a natural remedy I have used Cayenne Pepper. It sounds like it would make it worse because its hot and spicy but it acutally helps alot. See if you can get the pepper in capsule form. Do some research on Cayenne Pepper and its health benefits.
You can try medicines with enzymes, such as Aristozyme (Indian brand). I have heard that in Ayurveda there are very good medicines which can cure indigestion problem without any side effects. Some say papaya, cucumber are good for indigestion of food.
Take Jaggery, zinger, etc -keep on swallowing the saliva.
