Are these good (and healthy!) remedies?!

Question: Are these good (and healthy!) remedies?
I found some remedies that block the body from absorbing carbohydrates, there they are:

Step 1
Take one 1,500 mg white kidney bean extract capsule 30 minutes before eating a meal with carbohydrates. Phaseolus vulgaris is the active ingredient of the white kidney bean. It works by inhibiting the breakdown of carbohydrates to sugars. Carbohydrates that are not transformed into sugar will not be absorbed by your body and converted into fat.

Step 2
Take one 500 micrograms (mcg) chromium picolinate tablet once a day. This supplement can reduce your body's absorption of carbohydrates while raising your metabolism to help burn fat. Daily use of chromium picolinate will also regulate your sugar and cholesterol levels.

Step 3
Take one 500mg salacia oblonga once a day, preferably before eating breakfast. This ayurvedic herb blocks your digestive system's ability to digest and break down carbohydrates. Instead, they just get eliminated through fecal stool.

Step 4
Take one 1,000 mg garcinia herb in capsule form 30 minutes before meals daily. This ayurvedic herb prevents your body from converting carbohydrates into fat. It is an excellent supplement for weight management. In addition, this herb can help reduce your cholesterol levels and restrain your appetite.

do you think they're healthy? or at least truthful?
thank you for your answers^^

Answers:

You're right to ask if those are healthy (and truthful)... all of those can be very unhealthy depending on your situation, but they can also be very beneficial when used properly.

#1: Any carb blocker can be beneficial for limiting your intake of carbs, but if you use it for every meal, you're essentially starving yourself of all carbohydrates... not the healthiest thing, but if you choose to use moderation and limit yourself, it can help a good diet and exercise regimen.

#2: Chromium is great for blood sugar support and healthy metabolism, but it can impact insulin sensitivity which can be very dangerous for some diabetics and hypoglycemics (although it also helps quite a few of them for the same reason... sometimes too much support can be as bad as not enough support). If you have no blood sugar issues, you should be fine, but you may want to check with your doctor with such a large dose to be on the safe side.

#3: Salacia Oblonga is an Ayurvedic herb that is good for blood sugar and carbohydrate metabolism... but if you're going for 4 different carb products, this may be overkill or superfluous. What I mean is that if you're using a carb blocker, the carbs won't be metabolized and this herb won't really have much of an impact because of that. If you skipped #1, this would have more of an impact, but you're replacing one for the other. Granted, if you're using moderation and not taking #1 with every meal, this can certainly help, but may be overkill.

#4 Garcinia Cambogia is good for weight loss, but the statement you make is missing a few steps (and is along similar lines to what I listed in #3)... carbs aren't converted directly into fats, but into sugars... if the sugar isn't utilized (in exercise or whatnot), it can be stored as fat for later energy utilization. Granted, it is very good for weight management programs aside from the carb issue and helps a bit with appetite (although not a huge amount).

So again, you may not need all of these as they overlap in a few areas and some make others redundant... taking all 4 would at least be somewhat of a waste of money, but taking the proper ones you need would be your best bet. You may want to try adding one at a time to see which ones you get the best impact from to see which ones you want to keep using, too. Good luck and I hope I helped!

The chromium picolinate is excellent for breaking down carbs and keeping blood sugar at normal levels. However, the best way is just portion control and staying away from bad carbs like fried foods and pastries.
