Question: Is it safe to smoke 1 year old weed?

Hello friends, I'm planning on smoking some of NYC's fiiiinest weed tonight, but therein lies the rub. You see the weed is anywhere from 10-12 months old. I kept it in its original small ziplock bag, in a metal container under my bed. So is it safe? I've heard of the possibility of mold growing but I wanted to check with the experts here at Yahoo! Answers. It's a very small amount anyway. I'm gonna smoke it and hope to wake up a better man. Highly unlikely. I bid you farewell.

It's not only safe - it's mandatory. Look out for republicans though!

The mold is a lie. Its actually tiny spores that infect the lungs and cause them to feel as if on fire. You would die from the pain. I would soak it in boiling water to get rid of the spores.

It will only mold if it stays really moist for a long time. Highly doubt that, weed dries out pretty quick. Itll taste like @ss and probably hurt ur throat though. And the effects might be really diminished.

Yes but you may be more likely to have hallucinations if there is any mould on it.

well is it hard or soft?
if it smells good still then it shuld be good
try smoking a hit of it and see if its good
