Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a collective term that refers to chronic, autoimmune, inflammatory diseases of the bowel, mainly ulcerative colitis and Crohn ‘s disease, although IBD may also be referred to as colitis, enteritis, ileitis, and proctitis.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common functional gastrointestinal disorder causing increased contractions or spasms of the colon or rectum. In people with IBS, the colon is more sensitive and contracts more readily than it does in other people. IBS is a syndrome or collection of symptoms rather than a disease.

the cheapest and fastest way that I know of to treat autoimmune disorders including
(ibs , crohns etc...) is with low dose naltrexone , it is a non toxic , very low cost medication

ldn is considered "alternative" , how it works is it indirectly modulates the immune system with no adverse side fx , like I said it is non toxic , and will not harm any organs in the body like many other drugs do , so if you go to http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org you will see before and after photos of
crohns , you will have to scroll down some after you get to the site , it is a medical doctors site ,
they do not sell it or profit from it ,and by the way this medication is about 25 a month at most , because it is out of patent , so you will not see tv ads for it etc.... even though it stops autoimmune disorders like crohns , ibs , ms , lupus , ra , and a host of cancers whatever stage it is .
it does all this because it indirectly modulates the immune system and abnormal cell division with no
adverse side fx , many studies have been done with ldn (low dose naltrexone ) it does work ,
ldn was intended for something else at higher doses , but now doctors are seeing amazing results
with it at low doses , between 3 and 4 and a half mg daily , the doctors who use it are not drones for the drug companies , unlike some other doctors who are , so there are naysayers out there .

IBS is a catch all term diagnosis, " we don't really know" didn't sell well for some reason.

You need to find out for YOURself what is causing it to flare. Start being religious about keeping a food drink medication and daily background info journal, so you can see patterns. Start analizing your food, first is it even considered healthy, then it actually good for you ( sometimes it's not) Notice food groups, wheats, corns, etc. and then think even more, if you eat meat, what was it's source of food, don't assume. It may and should take a while, just live and learn, don't be afraid to try new things, and question the unquestionable. ( if there is any food or drink you crave, I'd rename it, suspect #1)

This is a chronic problem that should be handled under the care of a holistic practitioner such as a Homeopath or Naturopath and you've got an excellent likelihood of curing it.
Eliminating dairy and gluten products always helps, as well as a high quality probiotic supplement.

IBS is incurable. Therefore, anyone proffering to have a "cure" is lying.
