Question: Pills burn my throat? Why? Please help!?

I take the generic version of zoloft and they constantly burn my throat when I swallow them. They are 50 mg and the generic name is called sertraline. Also I can taste them going down! It is such an awful taste and I don't know what to do! Please help. Thanks.
