Is it a prescription in his name? It could be for anxiety.
Or it could be to get high. It's a benzodiazepine drug like valium or xanax, also it isn't sold in the US as far as I know so if you're in America that is pretty sketchy. If he doesn't have a prescription bottle, it's probably to get high. Even if he does, it is pretty regularly abused in countries where it is available.

1> look it up in any search engine -- here is what I found:
Lexotanil (Bromazepam) Bromazepam is an anti-anxiety treatment and a sedative.
2> ask your doctor what it is and how it is used (or abused)

Why do you search your son's closet ? Obviously, you do not trust him, so since you found it, sit him down and ASK HIM what it is and how it is used and why he has it and is hiding it from you.

Like another answerer, I would speak with son, but I would not attack him. He may well have a legitimate complaint that needs to be addressed, however if the prescription is not his, it does need to be addressed.

Kids today are having a rough time. Many do not have parents who spend any time with them, even for meals, so by and large they are left to their own devices. If this is the case, he needs a mentor who can assist him in growing up.

That is a benzodiazepine prescribed for anxiety or insomnia. It's not a hallucinogen and won't get you high. It's for folks suffering from a lot of stress. Sounds like you have a discussion ahead with your son.

You could have pasted "lexotanil" into your search box. It's almost certainly a prescription drug. If your son's name wasn't on the bottle, he's breaking the law. If it is prescribed to him, mind your own business.
