Question: Was my scoliosis caused by Benzodiazepine withdrawal?
Hello, my name is Sam, and I am 17 years old. I have been taking 0.5 mg clonazepam/day since September 2009. However, during the Spring Break of 2010, I did not bring Clonazepam for 3 days on a camping trip, and felt muscle weakness. After I came back, I resumed my Clonazepam, and my body felt like it was going through a growth spurt. I Primary Physician diagnosed me with scoliosis in two weeks. I was never diagnosed with scoliosis before. Could the two be linked?

3 days without Klonopin would not cause the scoliosis. It wouldn't be long enough to cause
a full blown withdrawal symptoms.
