magnets
There is a stone found naturally in nature which is made up mostly of magnetized iron and/or iron oxide. It is called hematite. I am linking some pictures of it. Mind you, I have also used fridge magnets to alleviate the pain from a twisted ankle. Just put them in the sock. They worked great, too.
You can also make the jewelry out of ordinary steel which you magnetize with a strong magnet. The trouble with that is that you would have to remagnetize it continually, because magnets lose their strength.
