What do you think of this birth experience ?!

Question: What do you think of this birth experience ?
I know a young woman whose name is Jamie Castle who recently had a homebirth in her own bed. Her son Enzo was born in her N.Y. apartment and she labored in different positions before giving birth in her bed.

Although Jamie, who is a swimsuit and lingerie designer, loves doing scuba diving and snorkeling. She DIDN′T wanted to give birth in the water and she OPTED TO DELIVER HER SON IN HER OWN BED. But also she never used water during labor because she labored in the sofa, walking around her apartment and using different positions. And Jamie said her homebirth was a wonderful experience.

Answers:

Jamie was bl***y lucky that it was all straight forward.
I cringe at the thought.
I had 1 baby in hospital, 2 at home with a midwife and my GP in attendance.
The home births were much nicer, but I wouldn't have relished going it alone. They were also easy births whereas the 1st (hospital one) went on for ever nd there were a few fiddly complications.

One thing that the medical profession does well is obstetric care. Babies born in hospital mean many mothers and babies survive complications that would have killed them.

Babies should be born in hospital not at home.
I understand the backlash and why women chose not to have their children in such a cold clinical environment but there is no reason why a birthing centre cant be made comfortable and more mum and baby friendly.
Women should be demanding doctors are more people friendly, the environment is more comfortable and steps taken to protect their dignity. Demanding babies should be born at home is very dangerous.

Giving birth is one of the most risky things most women will do in their lives.

Publishing other people's experiences giving their names is considered unethical. You should edit your question deleting the names.

At any rate, what is so special about what you describe? That is how all babies used to be born.

look what do you want us to say?????

My mom is pregnant right now, and I'm serious if she even thinks about giving birth at home i will smoke that thing out.

I don't want to hear it, smell it or see it.

Nitram was born at home. Look what happened to him.
