Sick like hell. Help?!

Question: Sick like hell. Help?
I tend to get carsick easily and last night was no exception. When I got in from my friend's place I threw up at least four times. I had a couple of bottles of water because my stomach was empty in the first place but threw them up as well. It is now day two and though I'm not AS sick, I still feel awful and my esophagus hurts. Anything I can do to help my chest hurt less and also relieve this nausea?

I also plan on seeing my doctor tomorrow so please do not reply to this with some generic answer followed by "But you should go see your doctor and talk to them about it."

I'd prefer some advice from personal experience. I can look everything else up myself.

I get motion sickness. Certain people driving/sitting in the back seat makes me sick to my stomach, sometimes for hours afterward I'd feel as if my head was spinning. You should invest in some ginger capsules before you go on a car ride. Does wonders for me. Sounds crazy, but it works.

I get very queasy from different types of motion: car, boat, swings... I take Pepto Bismol and it helps every time. I actually carry the tablets with me at all times and have a bottle at home and at work. Could it be that you really have an illness on top of being car sick? Also, try not to ever ride in the back seat. I even got car sick from riding in a backwards facing seat in a limo but have never had it last more than 4-5 hours. Try the Pepto and good luck.
