eat more fiber.
apple, orange, green vegetables and all high fible food

Step 1

Drink water and fruit juices every day to help combat bowel movement problems. Consume approximately 8 oz. of liquid every other hour to help keep your body's digestive system operating efficiently. Drink more when it is hot or when you exercise to keep up with what your body loses.
Step 2

Add fiber to your diet. It is best to get fibers from foods such as fruits, whole grains and beans. Use fiber supplements if you find it difficult to consume enough fibrous foods. There are many fiber supplements available on the market. They generally come in pill form or as a powder to be mixed with liquid.

Step 3

Exercise at least three times per week to facilitate easy bowel movements. Walking, swimming or participating in other aerobic activities will help your digestive system stay in shape, as well as your physique.
Step 4

Cut down on your consumption of milk and other dairy products, as these can be constipating in many individuals. Make sure, especially if you are a woman, to consume adequate amounts of calcium, which is partly obtained from dairy items.
Step 5

Check with your physician or pharmacist regarding your medications. Certain prescriptions are known to have constipation as a possible side effect. Common drugs that cause constipation include those containing codeine and a class of medicines known as calcium channel blockers.

Tips and Warnings
Do not rush when you need to have a bowel movement. Straining can lead to additional problems. Prop your feet up on an elevated surface such as two phone books, to help relieve pressure while sitting on the toilet.
Do not wait or hold back bowel movements when you are at work or anytime you are busy, as this can lead to constipation issues. If you experience constipation regularly, see a doctor, as this could be a symptom of a more serious condition. The overuse of laxatives can lead to additional problems with constipation.

hi p, constipation occurs due to sucking of water by the large intestine and the stuff within becomes dried and gets changed just as stones. Moreover the skin in the anus might have become so soft and not able to shrink in such a way to push the stuff out of the rectum. It would be better to have fruits a lot instead taking flour like food such as rice, dal etc. Also consult an acupuncturist who would definitely give the right solution without any side effect. Just by applying a needle at Triple warmer 6 which is at distance of 3 tsun right from the wrist on the dorsal side, your large intestine would easily push the stuff out. All the best.

Try taking 2 teaspoons of psylium husk every morning or night with 12 oz of warm water. Make sure you take the real psylium husk & not the stuff you get at the drug store with all the color & what not added to it. You can buy it at any Indian grocery store, it is called "Isabgol" A common brand is Telephone brand . It is also called fleaseed husk. Also, drink 16 oz of warm water first thing in the morning when you wake up. You may add to it a squeeze of lemon. Drinking 4-6 oz hot milk with a teaspoon of honey at bed time also helps.
Also, a good rule of thumb: When the choice is to eat or not to eat, not to eat is the better choice. When the choice is to go or not to go, to go is the better choice.

Try eating Kashi cereal as it has a very good fiber content, and Activia yogurt for the probiotic benefits. If you are going long periods of time without a bowel movement, this is not good. A good solution for daily use is Miralax 17g (over the counter) daily, it's flavorless and you should put it in your morning coffee. If you've gone 24 hours without a BM, try a dose of Milk of Magnesia at bedtime. If this doesn't help, ask for a referral to a Gastroenterologist from your primary physician. You could have a form of Irritable Bowel Syndrome that manifests as constipation, and this can be fixed once diagnosed.

i don't know if you drink coffee every morning but that can help. also you could try prune juice, and if thats too gross for you to drink, you can mix it with fruit and orange juice in the blender to make a fruit smoothie. another slightly harsher option is to take a gentle laxative every morning like miraLAX. one reason this might be occurring is because you are not getting enough fiber in your diet, so you could look into taking a fiber supplement.

Yoga has a therapical angle also.
practice 1 Bharadwajasan.
2 Bhujangasan
3 Pavanmuktasan
Regularly. Note there is no spelling mistake

I am a teacher of Yoga therapy

Go for Yogasanas.
All the best.

More Fibre in your diet is always a good easy place to start
