Is this a sign my anti-depressant dosage is too high?!

Question: Is this a sign my anti-depressant dosage is too high?
I don't feel sleepy, I just feel mentally lethargic.....like mildly blahze, like I don't care to get things done that i know I need to focus on that are important.

Not only that, but for some reason, I want to say that I actually felt better or more present when I was missing doses. There was a good 2 weeks where I started a new schedule and almost everyother day, sometimes two days in a row.....I would forget to take my medication. And I actually felt better. The only thing was that I started experiencing withdraw symptoms of abrumpt cessation and started taking it again.

the drug is effexor xr and it's 150mg daily.
I also have to take methylin(ritalin) for concentration issues.

Answers:

I got the mentally tired feeling when my dose of Zoloft was too high, so I'd say it's from that. I'd cut down to 125mg, then maybe 100 if that doesn't help enough. Remember to do it slowly though, over a period of a few weeks, so you don't get withdrawal symptoms again.

Hi. It could be that your does is to high for you or depends how long you have been on them because anti depressant take a good month to get into your system and they do make you feel worse then what you was before you were taking them but only for the time they getting into your system if this still carries on after a little while then you should talk to your doctor and see about lowering your dosage. they are very addictive and you can't just miss them here and there you need to come of them a bit at a time. I have been on ant depressants and my first does was to high for me and was feeling ill with drawn like I couldn't concerntrate on any thing and they took me right of my feet the doctor lowered my dosage to that suited me hope this helps.
