I used to smoke weed everyday, and did so for about 2 years. I recently quit, ab!

Question: I used to smoke weed everyday, and did so for about 2 years. I recently quit, about 2 months ago.?
I'm applying for a job that I really want, and it's possible that they may drug test me.
So I'm just wondering if there would be any traces of marijuana in my system?

Answers:

Yeah, smoking for 2 years is not going to show up IF you hadn't smoke at all in the past two months. However, you stated you have smoke about a wek ago. So depending on how much you smoked it will likely show up. So with the new job, is there any way to postpone the start date for a couple weeks and state you are on a current project or home sitting an elderly grandparent or something? You can drink a lot of cranberry juice and water and exercise a lot, take a cleansing product etc but when it comes down to it, you need 30 days to get the THC out of your system. If you really want this job, come up with an excuse so that you don't get screwed for a small amount of THC. Or, take the position and the (potential) drug test and have an excuse like grandma smoke medicinal marijuana and it must be second-hand or you were in a club on a date and unsuspectingly ate a brownie or something. Depends on the type of job too. Pharma company, you better postpone that test. Management position, you can probably excuse your way out.

The active chemical in weed (THC) can stay in your system for up to 90 days if you were a regular user...but, only in your your major organs because it's fat soluble, not water soluble and gets stored in your fat cells. It's excreted from your urine completely though...in as little as two hours, and up to 24 hours.

So no, it won't show up in a urine test two months after your last use...no matter how long or how often you smoked it.

Naa, 2 months is about the extent of any trace of cannabis in you system after heavy use. I had a urine test 2 weeks ago, no traces of drugs. Had a blood test a week ago too, nothing as of now anyway, so... ^.^

NO YOU SHOULD BE FINE unless they do a hair folilce test which is very expensive and most employers don't you do this test unless it's for a government or state job.

Don't worry, be happy
