Can anyone answer these questions about YEAST?!

Question: Can anyone answer these questions about YEAST?
My sister recently got diagnosed with Yeast Infection and I'm scared that I might get infected as well. I want to know all about Yeast so I can take be aware of the consequences and take better care of myself.
First, I want to know about the life cycle and the habitat of Yeast.
Second, I would like to know how the digestion and circulation work for Yeast.
Third, I was always curious about the reproduction and gas exchange of Yeast.
Lasty, I'm pretty sure Yeast isn't all about infections. I want to know the various relationships with humans but also about Yeast Infection.
Thank you.

Answers:

1. In the life cycle of Yeast, a special cell division known as meiosis proceeds. Meiosis is when pairs of chromosomes separate to give new combinations of genetic traits. The habitats of Yeast are generally close to us such as bread, wine, beer or in a neutral/slightly acidic pH environment.

2. Yeast is under Fungi Kingdom. Fungi are chemoheterotrophic organisms that pre-form organic compounds as energy. Fungi usually receive their energy by decomposing dead matter found in the soil. They do this by breaking down the nutrients found in the dead matter. Fungi have no hearts, but they do have a circulatory system made up of masses of connecting hyphae. The hyphae assist in nutrient exchange and in nutrient and water absorption. The hyphae are basically the circulatory system of fungi, since they are the cells that transport nutrients and water throughout the organism.

3. Yeast is able to produce both asexually and sexually. They can produce asexually by budding and sexually by binary fission. The gas exchange of Yeast proceeds by aerobic respiration through tiny pores if there is oxygen but if there is no oxygen, it proceeds anaerobic respiration by absorbing nutrients

4. The most common benefit of the relationship with humans is the requirement of Yeast to make bread, beer, wine etc. Also red yeast rice is healthy because it improves humans’ blood circulation. However, the disadvantage of Yeast is that it can cause yeast infection in the female genital also known as Vaginal Yeast Infection.

I hope this information will help you :)

First off, it is highly NOT likely that you caught it from her....you don't have a vagina, do you? If so, it is still very, very unlikey....

The term for yeast infections is candidiasis. Female Vaginal yeast infections are refered to as vulvovaginal candidiasis. Yeast infections usually occur in warm, moist areas on the body. They are due to an overgrowth of yeast which can be caused by stress, pregnancy, antibiotics, and other medicines like birth control pills. Men can get yeast infections also called balanitis.
There are ways to lower your body's chance of an overgrowth of yeast.
Take probiotics-the best way is to eat natural yogurt that is low in sugar(sugar feeds yeast), like Nancy's plain or a good unflavored greek yogurt.
If you have to have antibiotics always take a good probiotic supplement (quality ones will be refrigerated) for a couple months following the antibiotics. This restores the good bacteria that antibiotics kill. When you take antibiotics, especially full spectrum, they kill the bad and the good bacteria.
Wear loose fitting cotton/natural, not synthetic, breathable clothing. Many of the fabrics used to make clothes are synthetic and not breathable, they keep moisture and heat trapped next to your skin and promote the growth of yeast.
I am not very familiar with the life cycle or reproduction of yeast, sorry.
