which is better- vicodin or percocet?!

Question: Which is better- vicodin or percocet?
i have a chronic migraine condition (and i mean REALLY bad. if it last more than an hour i will throw up repeatedly until i cant breath and pass out on the bathroom floor) so i was prescribed vicodin to take the pain away. it worked for a while but i've noticed that i now have to take more at one time and there are some times where the pills wont work at all anymore. i'm guessing that my body is too used to it at this point. my sister has percocet for her migraines and she said it works like a charm (although she has to take three for it to work but she says the pain STAYS gone, which doesnt happen with the vicodin). i want to ask my doctor about it, but is it worth it? is percocet better?

I have chronic migraines...i take butalbital, which is a painkiller, but also i take topamax(prevention, maintenace med), im not saying that the doc is wrong for giving you some hydro for some "resuce meds" but you need a nuerologist...he'll get you on a plan, and try and help you out and prevent you from getting your migraines....and stick with the hydro!! percocet of course is stronger but do not jump to a stronger opiate until hydro is no longer working for you, unless you have already gone thru the 10's, then go to perc 5's ..your doc isnt doing the right things for you, and thats a fact, you dont get prescribed hydro or oxy alone for migrains..sure, when youre puking you need something strong...im a migraine patient..i understand..i wish i was prescribed vicodin for when im crying bc my head is hurting so bad...but unfortunately i cant get that bc of other reasons also, opiates can actually trigger migraines...i suggest you ask your doc for some butalbital, maybe you have tried this..i dont know. But its proven to help for migrain headaches. hope you find something that will work, bc i have migraines EVERYDAY and they are like getting stabbed in the eyes over and over, no hyperbole. so i feel for you. Good luck!!

You were prescribed Vicodin for migraines? I have never heard of that. I have been getting them since I was 10 years old, I'm 42 now. I have taken everything they make for migraines.
There are much much better medications for migraines that are NOT addictive. Percocet too?
No, you need to go back to your Neurologist and get something better.
These medications are addictive. Your body will need more and more just to work until it doesn't work any more and then one day you will be desperate for the pain to go away and you could OD.
So many medications now for migraines that are not like that and work 100 times better.
Both those medications being prescribed by a doctor for migraines is irresponsible.
Seriously, get different meds.
