I find it odd as well. Perhaps in some cases people want the opinions of alternative medicine proponents.

Anything could be considered alternative medicine, marijuana is just as valid an alternative medical treatment modality as crystal healing, reiki, or homeopathy. And all these methods have the exact same evidence behind them in the treatment of serious conditions..

What exactly would YOU suggest as criteria for inclusion into the "alternative medicine" category? Only things you like?

Blame the yamster....if Chamomile is natural and a plant, and Marijuana is as well, and meth is kind of like pot in that it will mess you up, then questions about getting high belong in Alt Med.

There is an "alternative medicine" category and that's where you'll find questions about so-called "natural therapies".

Odd Yes, but I think ppl want their question answered faster if they place it among ppl who actually have a quicker response even if their topic has nothing to do with health.

I think people just aren't good at putting questions in the correct category/just go with what ever Yahoo suggested.
