Could someone explain this? adrenal fatigue?!

Question: Could someone explain this? adrenal fatigue?
I was on a forum, and this guy said this:
I was able to be desensitized by my practitioner. He used a combination of Skasys, which created my own homeopathic remedy, that I took for a couple weeks. Then I was able to take the necessary supplement. The best part was that the desensitization held. I didn't need to keep taking a homeopathic.

I realize this is not an option for many people. Just sharing what worked for me.

I would say however, that if you are reacting to a supplement, listen to your body and don't take it until you are stronger. Continue listening....it's a process that takes time..... Intuitive eating.....

He doesn't go on anymore so I can't ask him more about it. But I am having the same problem.. but wondering what skasys are? Any help would be nice, thanks.

Answers:

adrenal insufficiency is very common, but as with many health problems, medicine is too ignorant and incompetent to detect it, much less correct the cause-nerve interference. it can produce an array of symptoms, ranging from morning fatigue, postural hypotension, allergies, asthma, photophobia, migraine, and anxiety.

Adrenal fatigue is a phantom diagnosis given to a wide variety of non-specific symptoms such as body aches, fatigue, nervousness, sleep disturbances and digestive problems. Blood tests supposedly aren't sensitive enough to detect this but our body is.

No real research has been done to prove that adrenal fatigue exists. A whole lot of other conditions can cause the symptoms, like depression, fibromyalgia, thyroid problems, and even just plain old stress. This guy from the forum felt better because of the placebo effect. He felt better when he started doing something about his condition. This approach will not work with all people like for those who really have depression or endocrine trouble.

If you're felling ill, go to a doctor who has studied the human body and has the clinical experience to help you.

Adrenal fatigue is a made up condition to sell scam products like homeopathy and "skasys".

The websites are quite persuasive, but the alternative concept "adrenal fatigue" is not the same as what endocrinologists know as adrenal insufficiency (Addison's disease).

It was invented by someone who calls himself Dr. James Wilson. His full title is "D.C., N.D., Ph.D". There is no MD in his list of titles. He claims to be a "scientist as well as a physician" and to hold "3 doctorate degrees and 2 master's degrees, all from different health disciplines." In other words he claims to be a science nerd. Yet there are no scientific articles by him in scientific magazines where other science nerds present their findings. When I first heard of the existence of this entity a couple of years back I used the contact information on his website to ask why he hadn't published any of his research results in scientific magazines. I received a nice reply from a secretary of his saying that he was too busy to do that. And that is not how a genuine science nerd operates.

Proponents of the existence of the diagnosis rationalize, that existing blood tests aren't sensitive enough, but your body is. Usually filling out a questionnaire is an important diagnostic tool regarding this. Sometimes people try to mix the alternative concept with the real world, and try to experiment on their own with adrenal hormone medications. That can be very dangerous - even if some websites claim it is perfectly safe.

EDIT:
You have been persuaded into believing that adrenal fatigue (AF) is a real disease. So an explanation that it is not is an answer. But we can elaborate a little. The symptoms attributed to AF are vague, and subject to waxing an waning in addition to being very placebo sensitive on their own.

Skasys are no more than placebos. We can also speculate why the guy left the forum. I can think of two possibilities:
1) It worked, and the guy doesn't want to stick around to help others with the same problem.
2) It really didn't work (in the long run), and the guy for himself dad he didn't really suffer from AF.
