Candida will use the glucose component of sugar for energy (respiration) and the fructose for tissue development (i.e. to make new cells).

You would be better off using an artificial sweetener, not the granulated form but the little pills. I use sweetex as it contains the fewest extra ingredients.

You should try to avoid all carbohydrates and have a ketogenic diet, (that is one where you take your energy from fat). Fruit and veg are really not good for you as they mean fructose and that means that the candida population can increase in size. Also sorbitol is bad as the liver will transform the sorbitol into fructose.

Best to have animal products with lots of fat. This will help to kick start fat burning in the gut and that makes it easy to get into burning fat stores (assuming you want to or need to). carbohydrates represent a barrier to fat burning and of course they do not help the Candida infection.

The thing about sugar with Candida is that with Candida you are suffering from impaired immune response. Sugar lowers your immunity. If you want to get over it I would avoid all refined sugars, and consider going on a gluten free diet as the Candida is sometimes the result of wheat sensitivity.

It's better to have none at all. The idea of a Candida diet is to starve the yeast by cutting off their food supply. Reducing your sugar intake will slow down the growth of Candida but if you're still eating some sugar it will be enough sugar to keep them alive.

Eat fruit. Any diet that tells you to cut out fruit is just plain stupid. Fruit is hydrating and full of vitamins and antioxidants.

Stay away from starch/grain and dairy products. That crap is bad for you.

There is no such thing, you're wasting your time and money on a fad and scam that is going to do nothing for you.

Eat properly, remember your 5-a-day which now seems to be 7-a-day (who the heck does that?)

Candida diet is a total scam. Don't get sucked in by these hoax web sites.

You don't have a candida issue, period.
