Nope, it means the blood supply to the tissues under you hand improved making the tissues feel warmer to the patient.This happens commonly in therapy using any kind of touch.
While doing cranial treatment tissues that are chronically restricted which impinges the blood supply loosen, which has the effect of changing the blood supply. because they were so restricted the patient often reports "feeling a warmth" from my hands. Some are disappointed when I explain the physiological reason and no magic is involved.

I'm sorry Tim but you are learning pseudoscientific bunk - there is no such thing as an 'energy' field. You can't balance 'energy' (which is defined as a measurement of a system's capacity to do work), and there is no evidence or plausibility for the existence of chakras. There is not one shred of empirical evidence that supports the efficacy of polarity therapy nor it's underlying concepts.
Why did your client report that she felt hot where your hand was? Your hand is hot/placebo response.
Terms such as 'polarity therapy' and 'energy work' are nonsense.
Apart from friction, simply holding your hand close to someone will trap warm air, it's no mystery.
I'd have thought it was obvious. Massage is rubbing. Rubbing (even with oil) is against friction. Moving against friction causes heat.
No one has a "natural knack for energy work," seeing as it's a load of bunk. It was probably the warmth/friction of your hands.
