For goodness sake have him go to a doctor or physiotherapist - people who have actually been to medical school and know what they are doing. These quacks peddle and do treatments for which there is not a jot of evidence like osteopaths.

Get him to a real doctor and not a quack

It always amazes me to see how so many people could bash a professionthey know nothing about. Chiropractic works and helps millions of people each year. Each profession must realize that they serve a particular role and Chiropractic is a great choice for people with back pain who prefer to be treated conservatively. Chiropractors actually receive more schooling than medical doctors in regards to human anatomy and especially the back. It is important to note that not all Chiropractors are equal. As in any profession, there are good doctors and bad doctors. It simply does not make sense to write off all Chiropractors because you had a bad experience with one. Would you never go to the Dentist again if you went to the Dentist and had a bad experience? I don't think so. To sum it up, find a good Chiropractor and you will not be sorry. Look for someone that went to a really good Chiropractic school such as National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. Make sure they have a really nice website and answer all your questions. Chiropractors are always spreading the lies about how "safe" chiropractic treatments are. Unfortunately your friend found out what others have known for years, there are very real risks. Chiros site the low number of reported injuries. The key word here is REPORTED,reported to WHO? The chiropractor,it's not going any farther than his office. The chiropractic board,that's a joke,they aren't going to broadcast it, their job is to protect their fellow quacks.
