Medicinal Marijuana for Anger/Depression?!

Question: Medicinal Marijuana for Anger/Depression?
I live in Michigan and medicinal marijuana is legal here. I am depressed and have anger issues. I was just wondering if it is possible to get medicinal marijuana for this?

*Please understand that I am very serious about this. I have done my research on all kinds of depression pills and stuff for anger but I just can't find too much about marijuana. Also I have never smoked marijuana before so please don't think im some pot head looking for an easy way to get marijuana. Thanks.

No, medical marajuana actually deeply worsen mental conditions and lead to the onset of worse ones! Don't do that.

If you have depression, it is better to consider different strategies to counter it.
Like I have OCD, and I found spending 2 hours out in the sun and exercising for an hour every day.

There are always TONS of solutions offered to depression. It's about finding what's good for you.

they wont give you marijuana for depression or anger because those can be side affects of smoking too much marijuana. they will most likely put you on anti-depressants

have you discussed this with your GP? There is no point in posing your woes to Y!A until you have been to your GP and phych consultant

I also live in Michigan, and if you live in or are willing to travel to the Ann Arbor area (also the Detroit or Metro Detroit area but Ann Arbor is notoriously more lenient) and are willing to go through a relatively lengthy process including answering a lot of questions and allowing the prescribing doctor access to your medical records, it is not very hard to receive a prescription for medical marijuana. However, I don't think that it is likely they will recommend a medical marijuana prescription to an individual such as yourself suffering from symptoms of, as you put it, anger and depression. It seems much more likely in my experience that they would probably prescribe you an anti-depressant for the depression, and perhaps a anti-anxiety drug for the anger issues, such as Valium, Xanax, Ativan, or Klonopin. The reason why this would be my best educated guess would be because since these medications slow your brain down, it may also make you feel more calm, therefore less angry.

Usually medical marijuana is legitimately prescribed for any of the following reasons (incomplete list):

Chronic pain, chronic nausea, AIDS, cancer, glaucoma, hepatitis, chronic muscle spasms and other spastic disorders (such as multiple sclerosis) seizure disorders (such as epilepsy) gastrointestinal disorders, such as IBS, Crohn's disease and the inability to eat, or patients who have medical treatments for other conditions that cause one of these conditions.

Personal experience.
