Question: Can you take Excedrin & lortabs together?
the reason i ask i get 2 teeth pulled a week and i have been taken lortabs weekly for the pain and i think the lortabs kinda got immune to my system i wont no for sure until later today when i get a tooth pulled and take it. and i was wondering if i could take them both together? and will it help any

Answers:

Both of these drugs contain acetaminophen. Acetaminophen is metabolized by the liver.

Take the lortabs for the immediate acute pain. Then after about 4-6 hours, if needed and the discomfort isn't too bad take the Excedrin. Never! Ever! take Excedrin and Lortabs together. The acetaminophen contained in both meds would be too hard on your liver.

No, they both contain acetaminophen.

It wouldn't be a good idea. If nothing else, you would get one nasty nasty upset stomach.
