you are not suppose to drink alcohol and take sleeping medicine and Nyquil is like 40% booze.
I am sure its not such a hot idea to mix any of the other ingredients either.
In fact helping you sleep is one of the selling points of Nyquil so another sleep aid is unneeded.

Number one, you may be taking too much acetaminophin which can (over time or take too much at a time) damage your liver, and number two, the Nyquil should knock you out by itself. Actually, if you take more than one med for sleep, which both the Nyquil and a sleep aid will do, it can totally backfire and keep you awake. Take care. Also, they are depressants and could cause respiratory failure, but that's usually an OD type of situation.

It depends on the sleep aid. If it is a prescription then you need to read the instructions since many say not to take with other medication that induces sleep since it can slow your heart rate down to a dangerous level.

Depends on what kind, what dose . if its benzos be aware. take a smaller dose , if any at all.
