how to cure an earache?!

Question: How to cure an earache?
my 13 year old sister is suffering from some pain in her left ear. and it hurts so much that shes even crying. so tomorrow my moms gonna take her to the doctor but in the meantime what can we do to her that could ease the pain. i think she got it from her cold that she had a couple days ago... so can anyone help?????

Answers:

When my daughter was young, she used to suffer with ear aches often. I found that an infused oil of mullein flowers worked best for her. I would find it at the health food store, and put a few warmed drops in each ear.

Sounds like your average ear infection. Go to a clinic/doctor and get some antibiotics. And please PLEASE don't be sticking oil in her ear...

If you need to deal with the pain give her some advil. A single 200mg tablet should work wonders.

Antihistamines usually help, or just average pain killers...

Few drops of therapeutic Peroxide will do the job.

This may seem like a funky suggestion, but I remember it working really well when I was that age and prone to ear infections. If you have a car, I suggest taking her for a ride out on a highway where you can go 50 mph for 20 to 30 minutes or so. I don't know why, but there was something about the motion that really eased the pain for me. If you can drive up over an elevation, like if you live near some foothills or something, that would be even better.

I remember how much a bad earache can hurt. Please be sympathetic to your sister, and if you can do this, and if you have no other ideas, give it a try; I'm serious that it really helped me.

Any over the counter decongestant and/or pain reliever should help. Don't put anything in the ear, such as oil. Not only will it not help, but it also risks infection.

Warm (not too much, plse) up some seed oil (flax, linseed, baby...) and pour into the ear. Close with a piece of cotton wool. The leave from a geranium plant (crushed) does also help.
Peace
