What is the difference between Prilosec OTC and prescription Prilosec? Why can y!

Question: What is the difference between Prilosec OTC and prescription Prilosec? Why can you only take OTC every 4 month?
Answers:

OTC=tablets and Rx=capsules
The reason why it says you can only take the OTC every 4 months was because the FDA mandated it. They wanted people with heartburn which could not be treated with prilosec OTC to seek medical treatment. There is no intrinsic reason why people cannot take the OTC for longer periods of time.
