Question: I smoke pot, but I'm also trying to quit cigarettes?
I smoke it because I'm on dialysis (Have been for 3 years... probably about 30 years more... No i'm not exaggerating) My anti bodies are at 100 percent, and I am a O negative kidney.. therefore me getting a kidney transplant would be like winning the lottery. Anyways, enough depression. I get symptoms from the dialysis, nausea , vomiting , tiredness and generally not feeling well after a treatment. I love smoking pot because it gets rid of all these symptoms and enables me to actually be hungry! (Being hungry is a godsend when your as ill as me) Problem is, I don't like SMOKING it because it destroys my lungs (plus i'm trying to quit cigarettes) Is there any other way of getting the chemicals from the pot without having to smoke it or be easier on my lungs?

I will agree with the others. Try using a vaporizer.
Also, for quitting cigarettes I would recommend using nicotine gum. I smoked for 30+ years & quit over 3 years ago using the gum. Instead of the recommended 3 months, I chewed it for 6 but it worked. Good luck to you.



Try a vaporizer. When smoking marijuana, you really want to smoke 2 ingredients, THC and CBN. Although you end up smoking the plant too, which contains harmful carcinogens. Vaporizers are great because they simply heat up the herb until pure THC and CBN’s are released, NOT burning the plant. This makes vaporizers a smart, and healthy method of using marijuana.

Make marijuana butter. Double pot boiler. One large pot filled with water, another smaller pot in the water filled with butter. Bring the water to a boil and put pot into butter, let it sit in the hot butter while the water boils for as long as you can. The strain the marijuana out. (this makes it much more edible). You can use the butter to make anything with butter like cookies or whatever.

some people eat their pot.

in california we have shops that sell edibles...that is the extract from pot and put into a sugary syrup and added to sodas and candy.

i am sure you could put it in boiling water, let it cool and drink it like tea and get the same effect.



Just a note:
You won't be able to make a tea out of it, as THC is fat soluble and not water soluble, meaning you'd have to cook it in something like oil or butter to extract the THC from the plant, then cook with it, or whatever floats your boat.



Eating pot as just pot is probably the biggest waste of pot ever. However, if you make it in THC butter and make weed brownies you can ingest them and get a very intense high for about the same amount of high as a normal high. Only problem is you have to wait about half an hour for the effects to hit but hell its better than suffering :/

Also another way i would suggest TRYING is purchasing a small vaporizer. Vaporizers literally do what they say, they turn the THC into a vapor. There is NO smoke involved its entirely a 97% THC potency vapor. No odor, no smoke. Its a lot healthier than smoking out of pipes and bongs, and like 6000% healthier than joints.

As for cigarettes once you make it through the 1st week and a half your clear man. I had been smoking for years and the only way to make any progress on quitting was to do it cold turkey. I didnt drink (makes me want to smoke) or hang out much with people who smoked for a very long time. And with my GF against smoking it made it a lot easier to quit because i was with her so much around that time that out of respect for her i didnt smoke around her. Honestly the first week and a half are hard, but as long as you dont smell it your brain can keep you from inhaling any
